Passenger door is too heavy?

My passenger door is not closing properly, it scratches the side skirt, from what i heard u can just loosen the 2 screws on the door, lift it up abit and tight it back, that would work? or should i take it to a panelbeter and let them line it up again?

How long have you had the car/how long has it been happening?

Has it had the door shunted while opening? (excuse how this is going to sound) has the door been open above a kerb when a large person has sat in the car?

I find it hard to believe that a door would just come out of alignment.

He has just had side skirts fitted

had the car for like 4 month? but its just gettin worse now. so i need to fix it, it didnt scrape the side before, but now it does.

I8A4RE it is a easy job that i can just do myself?

Yeah its easy but you really need two people or at least a floor jack

one holding the door and 1 untight and tight the screws eh? i see theres 2 bolt at the top and 2 at the bottom to hold the door, do i need to untight/tight all 4 (top and bottom) bolt or just the top 2?

Yeah you will need undo all four. Even if you have 2 people i still suggest you use a floor jack. The second person is too just steady the door.

1)Open the door
2)Put jack under the door (use an old towel or something soft as too not scratch the paint) and jack up till the jack is just starting to take some weight (DONT GO TOO FAR UP)
3) Undo bottom bolts (do not take bolts out completely)
4) Undo top bolts (do not take bolts out completely)
5) Raise jack (the amount you need to, this should be very minimal 1-2mm)
6) Re tighten 1 top bolt and 1 bottom bolt
7) Lower jack

Test GENTLY DONT SLAM DOOR (make sure everything closes without rubbing)
9) If you need further adjust repeat steps 3-8
