im degrading to a civic ... for money purposes because my fto is hard to get insurance + its AUTOMATIC!

and you know what ... what do you guys reckon of a F20C or K20A in the fto???
would be funny to see the look on honda drivers

the point of my thread ... WAIT IT ISNT EVEN MY THREAD LOL
well back to the point, im just saying honda are good cars and a civic is able to be on par with an FTO ... though i do admit integra type r > fto gpx/gpvr (cmon even you fto drivers have to admit that ...)

edit - oh jay, im buying any VTEC YO!!!!! ek because : lighter, aftermarket support, fits tight spots better (small in dimensions compared to ftos), backseats are actually comfy (compared to ftos), insurance over 2 years wont cost as much as buying a new fto, when ppl ask what car i drive ... i waste only 2 silables, and the "ehhhhhh *6000 rpm* EERRRRRRRRR"

I have thought about the DC5 gearbox in the FTO. But meh just a thought. As for the motor, a 6A12/6A13 frankenstein motor with ITB fully worked would be the sh*t.

just building the engine costs more than doing an entire 6a13 conversion .. much better off going the second route..

If that's what you want to do, then I say go for it .. I believe RPW was selling their Monster engine a while back - or some parts out of it - can't remember exactly (check the for sale section)

Otherwise IMO the coolest NA project for an FTO would be a V8 conversion.. there are some engines that you could go with, but you would be looking at $$$

Turbo FTO's are hella fun though... can't go wrong IMO

No, see it's
Type R performance equal fto GPvR

Type R Looks under fto

Type R ' wa*kfactor ' over fto

(wow, this mario is getting a workout.)

Lol ffs...typical honda fanboy behaviour. No point trying to tell him a dc2r is faster than the dc5r, or that a dc5r doesn't have much compared to a gpx/gpvr manual.

And the aus dc5r is *~delightful!~* anyways...it's not really a type r. It's the jap type s. The real dc5r is 162kw, brembos, LSD, and lighter weight iirc.

As for the latest type S being fast...kidding me right ? One of my mates has one and my old gpx was noticeably quicker. Plus they sound chat.. he tec'd it many times when i was in/out of the car.

I'll never understand VTEC YO!!!!! and why people like a bumpy power curve..notice the amount of honda vtecs with side damage ? AAAhhh VTEC YO!!!!!...AHHH UNDER UNDER swipe.

Lol just read the bit abt dc5r being faster than an fto and we have to admit it?

A gpx will keep up with a dc5r, it won't beat it, but they're a hairline away from being equals.

Honestly, you're giving too much credit to dc5's. It's because you drive a 4 speed auto, try jump in a manual, at least DRIVE a manual fto before you buy the integra, you'll change your mind.
