headlights not working

Post by alekazam »

my headlights stopped working today.. I checked the fuse, 40amp fuse was blown. When I replaced it this all happened at once... window wipers stopped working; stuck in half way position, Healights still don't work - windscreen washers turn on now instead of headlights! If anyone has any ideas.. or know of a good auto electrician with fto experience in Brisbane your assistance would be appreciated!! Thankyou.

^Just got out from under the bonnet and yes yes yes my bodgie diy job is the culprit.. damn me for trying to save money! I managed to fix the headlights; well when I say 'fix' I mean they turn on.. but the window washers and wipers come on at the same time.. so i've pulled the wiper fuse out, now at least I can drive at night. The big disaster has now been downgraded to major annoyance and Mario face plant Mario face plant Mario face plant Mario face plant Mario face plant

So im not the only one that has done that now. I put a screw into the loom some time back as well while installing a CAI. I got lucky though. When I took the screw back out, all was OK.
