While I prob would not buy a honda myself (maybe an s2000)

there is absolutly no deneying that they make very good and extremely reliable cars. The support for all sorts of aftermarket goodies across almost their entire range is practically limitless.

It all comes down to preference if xslurpee wants a honda then go for it as you obviously are not happy with your FTO

i think i love my fto more than all of you fto owners ... (who talks to their car each morning having a coffee.... ) ...

but nahhh, i would love a civic gli / vtir over my fto due to because ... i drove my friends 700kg civic gli with basic bolt on mods and it just feels like a cheetah compared to my fto (horse)

well, if my car was manual and it had better aftermarket support ... i would keep my fto until we have flying cars

I haven't dogged the reliabilty of Honda at all.
Any one who remembers direct sand injection for porting your head work on a B20 will know what I'm talking about.

I just dont like em.
And I never compared them to the FTO, didn't compare them to anything.

I like the NSX, it's a nice design car and all.
But the typical Civic, Integra, Accord, blah blah blah, just do not have any real style about them, there run of the mill cars to me like Commonwhores.
Who cares about aftermarket support, I sure don't. If I wanted to be like everyone else I'd buy a Corolla with a fart canon.

The only good styling along with power from a Honda I find is there bike range, and that's mostly based on looks, cause all bikes are pretty close to similar in performance for the average rider. (within there own class)

Umm..

you expect it to have over 200kg in just the interior?
with LIGHT MODS?

If it's been stripped off it's nuts (ie, no interior) then it would have more than LIGHT mods.

Thats what's good with more support mate. You wont be like everyone else. If the civics only had the vs bodykits then every civic would be the same but their >support< is huge (thats was just a small example, save engine mods for another time)

I agree that the bikes are nice though.

lol, I will never own a honda car.
Anyone can do up a Civic, there parts are everywhere, as said, there support is vast, but that's just the prob

Okay, FTO forum, so a bit biassed, but I still think.
You do up a Civic, and spend equally the same amount of cash, OR do equal mods to an FTO.
The FTO will be far more impressive.
WHY? Look at the car, PLUS, because they are a less common car, it's more appreciated as such a thing is seen less often then a Shivic.

Unless you were going for power (aha, civic with power) then I dont see the point in going Honda, unless you buy an NSX or spend an F'ing heap.
Cause all you need to do to beat one is buy turbo 4wd.

Infact
I've just figured out a way to fix this WHOLE issue.

I'll buy Slurpee some H badges and V-tec badges.
As the bonfire I'll remove the Mitsu and Mivec badge and replace accordingly.
Voila, effect complete, a car of similar performance, and people will still look at you like WTFDood

does anyone else think this sounds like someone saying there falcon is sh*t so there going to go buy a commenwhore???

charlie i agree with the guys i think you my be disappointed. (coming from someone that owned an integra before the fto!)...IMO not only does the fto look better but the power difference is just too close to call. I think you'll be back on here very soon telling us that your going to sell the teg to get a turbo as soon as u can legally drive it ;) . But if its really what u want and u would rather put your money into a teg then an fto for performance gains, then hey dont let anyone here stop you

as for the civic... 700kg ... did he have to whip off the sh*t he spit all over himself as he told u that

now for some noobness- Dc5r, is that not the new integra engine?

DC5R is like us saying DE3A.
It's the models code.

oh lol, i never was going to buy a dc2r or dc5r yet or ever ...

im degrading to a civic ... for money purposes because my fto is hard to get insurance + its AUTOMATIC!

and you know what ... what do you guys reckon of a F20C or K20A in the fto???
would be funny to see the look on honda drivers

the point of my thread ... WAIT IT ISNT EVEN MY THREAD LOL
well back to the point, im just saying honda are good cars and a civic is able to be on par with an FTO ... though i do admit integra type r > fto gpx/gpvr (cmon even you fto drivers have to admit that ...)

edit - oh jay, im buying any VTEC YO!!!!! ek because : lighter, aftermarket support, fits tight spots better (small in dimensions compared to ftos), backseats are actually comfy (compared to ftos), insurance over 2 years wont cost as much as buying a new fto, when ppl ask what car i drive ... i waste only 2 silables, and the "ehhhhhh *6000 rpm* EERRRRRRRRR"
