How much is the car to begin with? might not even be worth it over cost of repairs.
plus, if the engine has shifted, could mean the frames bent which you do NOT want to repair just for the sake of it.

Jonny im guessing you talking about the one on ebay??

Mate if the engine has moved there is a massive chance the chassis has been bent. To correctly align that you will be looking well over a couple of grand. Then you have all the other costs as mentioned aboved.

I reckon total cost would around the 7-8k + mark (thats of course without seeing the car)

Unless your a panel beater and you were going to do all the work yourself i wouldnt even consider it. FOr the amount you would spend on the car and repairs you can buy a fto for that price but thats just my 2 cents

What is the state of the Chassis? If the engine has moved then I would say to steer clear. I don't think it would be worth it...

Then again, FTEvolution = usually wrong, therefore don't listen to his 2c :)

This guy is supposed to be selling a few people some of the parts off the car ..

I for one am prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope that he isn't just wasting my time, but whatever happens happens ..

best of luck buying it.. it says it hasn't been written off, but it also wasn't insured.. so it may not have been checked out after the crash in order to assess the roadworthy state .. I'd be very careful if you want to buy it to fix, register & drive it .. mechanical check first ;)

Get it inspected by certifier/structural technician. I heard that most insurance companies wont comprehensively insure repairable write-offs, especially ones with previous structural damage. I would advise against buying this fto for anything other than parts. It might end up costing you around $8k in total or somewhere close to that figure.

In the end, its up to you, do a bit of research and make an educated decision.

Hmm, I didn't notice that. Perhaps worth buying just so he can swap the drivetrain into another shell (if the chassis is fucked that is)...

Still though mate, be wary

Im telling you right now its the one off ebay and mate im warning you dont buy unless you plan on using it for spares. 1.5k for a fto that has a bent chassis is not the bargin you think it is and that stays true whether its turbo'ed or not (but i agree with ben, doubt its an intercooler)

You may want to specify what a decent price is :?: This will differ from person to person ...

E.g. I think mine is a decent price for what it is, and was looking for as close to 15k as possible...

Charlie is chasing 11-12k for his tip ...

Kaz/Ben are selling theirs, for I think about 10k ... Or it may have been cheaper..

So yeah, browse the for sale thread and see what you come up with ... There are some cheap ones on ebay, and I have even seen some go through J-Spec ...
I just had to add it ......
