Automatic Transmission Fluid

Post by mr-charisma »

I just called Mitsi for a price on ATF Fluid (the SPIII rated stuff) & they've given me a quote of $37.95 for 5L

Someone tell me this is a joke .. I thought it was only supposed to be about $25 for 5L

Anyone know if it is cheaper elsewhere?

There's potential for a thread about anything on FTO Australia

the SPIII Auto Trans Fluid is OEM spec.. so you can only get it from Mitsi..

I'd only buy Redline if I was going for aftermarket, & I don't think Supercheap / Repco / Autobarn stock it.

I might try this stuff depending on the price;

http://www.royalpurple.com/transmission-fluid.html - Royal Purple - Max ATF

Max ATF is recommended in vehicles requiring any of these automatic transmission fluids:
* Mitsubishi Diamond: SP-II, SP-III
* Other cars removed from list.

Anyone disagree with using it?

This stuff is about $35-40 per litre! 8O
I'm not paying $300-$400+ for an ATF fluid change.. might just stick with the Mitsi stuff .. suddenly seems a lot less expensive..

Just go to a servo & buy a bottle of Castrol Dextron III. No need to be that precious about it. Been using it in Kaz's car for years.
