Hey all,
Benn hearing a noise from the engine bay & the best way to describe it is that it sounds like an air leak..
It doesn't sound like the type of noise I'd expect from an air filter.. but I did just replace the filter element in my in take pod so I guess it could just be flowing better than ever now & I'm just starting to hear what it *should* sound like. ..
problem is though, it doesn't sound like its sucking air in, definitely sounds like air going out..
any ideas?
Weird noise from engine bay

A puncture
No seriously when does it happen?
At idle? or when accellerating? or on decel?

CHRISTIANITY: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Doesn't happen on idle, just when accelerating, it's louder when I put my foot down, but .. seems to do it more when it's really hot because I drove home at about 10 pm last night & it was cooler & it didn't happen at all, even when revving to max.
today, it happen pretty much the whole way home but it was a scorcher today..
I suspected a bad connection between the intake & Throttle body, but I've disconnected & re-joined it a couple of times now..
been told it could be a leaking vacuum hose..

Update:
Issue only occurs while I have the air conditioning on.
Doesn't happen if just running fans, or the aircon is off.
Hence why it was only happening when it was really hot out & not at night
(not running aircon at night)
I can't seem to pinpoint where the noise is coming from though..
I'll keep at it.. but if anyone has any ideas, let me know ..
