Black wheels on Silver FTO?

Post by Dan25 »

Should I paint the stock wheels on my 98 Silver FTO until I can afford some proper mags? I think it would look ok, what about you guys? Maybe paint the brake callipers too...

EDIT: Ok, I get the idea pretty quick - leave them stock. Thanks for the input guys :)

I say don't paint em ... They don't look that good in black ... Black rims in general are good, but just not the stock FTO wheels... Save your cash ...

If you're wondering what the stock FTO rims look like in black, check out Tenjis for sale thread.

Gives you an idea atleast whether you want to go ahead with it.

I personally think it would look really retarded, just keep them as they are until you upgrade.

Not subtle but I agree.

Besides you can find a set of second hand wheels for quite cheap if you look around.

I couldn't find any pics of tenji's. Well I'm already getting the feeling that the general consensus is leave them silver, so I think that's what I'll be doing.

By the way, does anyone know if it's possible to get deep(ish) scratches out of the light up door sills? I just don't wanna make a new thread if I can help it.

Seriously im not a fan at all but thats just my opinion
CHRISTIANITY: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

I think stock wheels painted black look cool. Just take the time and effort to do it right and get a neat finish first time round.

At the end of the day, if you're going to change them anyway, what have you got to lose?

No mate....there useless ....best sell them to me...cheap...

If they're alloy you can sand the nscratches out and re-polish.
Start with like 100 or 120 grit paper...sand the scratches out....take a finer paper....sand the scratches from the first paper out....take a finer paper....do the same.....keep using finer paper until you get to 1200 or set (wet) then polish.

Opinion: black stockies wont look that good mate..... All black only works on 17's and 18's with low-ish profile tyres.... Look at gpats (18") or steve/bushido (17"s) - they look nice on a different coloujred car because of the size of rim and tyre

i've changed my mind, after seeing zouijheding's (or whatever your forum name is) car.

White with painted stock rims. It didnt look that bad, to me it at least looked better than stock, but im sure it was because it was lowered.
