Watchmen *READ, you'll thank me for it*

Post by sublime19 »

I'm not exaggerating anything, being pretty straight forward here.

*DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE* I fell asleep twice and walked out after 2 hours with an hour to go, wondering why the hell would anybody even approve this movie?!

Look at this review some guy gave it:
I don't really know what to say. I came out of that movie feeling like I had been tortured, beat in the head, had a terrible hang over, and suffering from sleep deprivation.

I flopped around my seat, banged my head on the seat infront of me, and moaned out loud. I wanted to screem! This was the worst and most boring movie I have EVER seen. I have seen C flicks that entertained me more. At least I can get some laughs from dumb B and C flicks.

I walked out dazed and confused. What the heck did I just watch? What the heck just happened to me?

What a Sloooooooooooooooooooow movie. The coolest line from the movie came from a guy in the audience. How sad is that?

I would rather lick a toilet than watch this movie again.

We should show this movie to terrorists. They would commit suicide after the second showing.

Too bad there is not an F- rating.

FLOP]
I mean any movie tries at least a little bit to try to entertain people, but this LITERALLY did nothing. It was a movie about JACK sh*t and 2 hours into it I had no idea what the f**k the movie was about. I'd rather watch a movie about a guy sitting in a empty room eating toe jam for 3 hours, no joke.

I can't describe how terribad this movie was - it had NO plot, NO sense of entertainment, there's no action, a couple of kicks and punches in flashbacks for like 10 seconds which don't relate to anything, and are thrown in the for the sake of being in there.

So.. Why does this movie have good reviews?

Because to understand what's happening in the movie, you had to have read the comic books from 1986. Otherwise nothing will entertain / make sense to you, you won't ever feel anything towards the characters of the movie cos you won't even know who they are, and you won't give a flying f**k of what happens to them.

What were you expecting, The X-Men

It's a dark thriller set in an alternate 1985 in the midst of the Cold War, not a cheesey action movie.

Go watch Transporter 3

Can't wait to see it :D

Lol nah, it's just that to really appreciate it you would have had to read the comics. If you havn't read them, tell me what you think after watching it :)

I love a good movie, specifically ones that are a bit different, a different twist / perspective on things is always good but this is just.. i dunno, it's in no way "thrilling"

I reckon the weirdest movie like that so far was Silent Hill.

Man, you really had to know the game to get the movie, I understood things as they were happening, but plot line wise, wow!
And that barb wire at the end. 8O :?

I didn't pay to see this movie.

It just..appeared on my desktop.

After 1 hour of watching it, it suddenly disappeared from my desktop, into the recycling bin.
The recycling bin then got set on fire.

I'm glad i didn't spend money on this movie.

Man i played the first game that ever came out, was a young wee one pl.aying @ 3am with no lights.... I actually got nightmares from one act where you alone and have no weapons and a girl with a knife runs at you.

The movie was great to me, great effects.... But the dancing nurses were a "wtf" to me

Severely disappointed by the movie. Went with a few friends, 2 of whom had followed the comic closely. They said it was awesome...

Myself, I couldn't keep up with what was going on. It was the fantastic special effects that kept me interested, but that's it (oh, and the chick is hawt)

I am just glad I went on cheap movie night :)

All in all, the movie was shite and a waste of money

One high note though, that Comedian was a fukkin nutter :)

Saw it last night. I have read the graphic novel so I had some idea of the plot. Slightly different ending but it worked well.

OK kiddies this is now OFFICIALLY the funniest fuckin thread I have ever read I mean Subby your post and the review you add from that guy had me laughing so hard I think some wee fell out  I think my pancrease may have ruptured and quite possibly I may have part of my left lung stuck in my throat as I was chocking from laughing so hard  and now all my work colleges think Im a crack whore and must have shot up at lunch time!

I watched it last night and my reaction was WTF! that review that the guy gave was exactly how I felt while watching that crap which is probably why I found this thread so bloody funny.

I thank you all for bringing some laughter into my boring day even if it almost killed me ;)

never read the comic... saw it... LOVED IT!!!!

BUT... i went into it knowing it wasn't an action movie,
more like Melrose Place for people in costumes.

"You people don't understand. I'm not locked in here with you, you're locked in here with me!"

Zack Snyder is a f**king genius

p.s. anyone else notice the Nite Owl guy in his glasses
looked like Chevy Chase in National Lampoons Vacation?
