No, QBE told me as I am 3rd party insured the vehicle will not be taken off me because it is still my property. Although that could change if the assessor tells me different. If I have to buy it back I will. The engine was perfect! I have genuine Volk racing wheels on it. Full sound system & all parts are perfect on it. Also, if I can't find another FTO with a sunroof I am going to take out that one from this car.

The car would help someone if they wanted a half cut but I will be taking the parts off that everyone wanted first. I rang a jap wrecker & they are already offering me a fair bit for the car as everything from say that doors towards the front people can use for parts.

Nah, my insurer was NRMA. At the time I was 18 & no company besides NRMA & just car would touch me. Both quoted me $10 000 comp. which I couldn't afford up front as they wouldn't let me pay it monthly.

My partners R33 is with Suncorp - they insured him years ago when he was turning 19 so try them. I wish I rang them - I'm pretty sure they insure FTO's.

A bit of advice. Get it comp. so you don't have to wait like I am when some moron hits you *touch wood that it doesn't happen*

hey i am pretty sure you cant take a sunroof off one car and put it on a car that hasnt got one. this is because of the indent they put in the roofs of the non sunroof ftos.

guys correct me if i am wrong

Your wrong....... It can be done but can be expensive. Either by filling in the indent with bog or some other type of filler or just by cutting the entire roof section out and welding that into place. As i say can be done but wont be cheap

ha your wrong simon if the ftos are the same as the honda preludes. they have a different front windscreen and a different rear windscreen as they are thicker for structure. They would do this so you cant just put a sunroof in any car.
But i am probably wrong again haha

FFS, how the F%^k do even compare a prelude to a FTO???? and even if by some miracle you are right, that still doesnt make me wrong just adds another cost of windscreen and rear window.......... hardly expensive considering a new windscreen is like $50.

Remenber this what you said

All i am stating is that it is possible........ but maybe expensive.

Seriously if i wanted too and had enough money i could make a fto a convertable with auto roof removal like the porshce's.....remember anything can be achieve with the right amount of money
