I dont know anout NSW but in QLD you can get a big compo payout for being injured. I would be talking to a lawyer immediately cha ching :D

Geeze that is a good hit. I certainly wouldn't be trying to have that repaired. FTO chassis' have a bad habit of 'springing back to bent' even after being heavily jigged straight.

The front of my car is fine. The dash thing popped out & hit me in the face when he hit me.. even the ashtray thing was found in the back seat!

I am still waiting on insurance. My smash repairers have told me I will be able to by the car back so I am seeing how much that will cost. But, all parts requested are fine & i will be happy to sell if i get the car back :) I will keep you all updated!

Yay for the front bumper....

The truck must of bent the whole car badly to get the dash to hit you! 8O what happened to the airbags? Did they deploy?

Thats looks nasty, but I have seen worse on an FTO. The silver one I picked up a year ago got hit squarely up the back. It ended up bending past the petrol cap. The spacesaver was pretty much in the rear seat. There is no real way you could repair that much damage easily though (especially given what FTO's go for these days). Take the payout and buy a better one ;)

    UPDATE:

The car is being assessed within the next few days even though it has been written off. I have been advised by the insurer that the vehicle is mine & will remain mine after I receive the pay out.

    So..

Everyone that has requested parts - I have reserved them for you. If anyone else wants anything let me know. I will PM people once the assessor has been to organise when you can pick up your parts.
