Radiator piping - Auto vs Manual

Post by Bennoz »

Has anyone *looks at dstocks* got a complete set of radiator pipes in from both a manual & an auto?

Im just trying to establish the differences & I have a feeling the lower hose may be different or the ancillary 3rd hose may also differ.

Any pics would be great, even if you just have 1 type, post it up & tell me what its off.

Oh, I forgot to mention, the aim of this is to establish a good buy price from a local supplier for Samco silicone hose kits ;) Possibly even a group buy if the interest is there.

Dwain seems to think they are both the same.

Cant you just check on caps?

Yeah, CAPS doesn't tell me much, it appears they are both the same, but Samco have 2 specific part numbers for an auto kit & a manual kit - hence I wanted to check. I think its got something to do with the 3rd smaller pipe..

As far as I remember there is a difference because when conversion kits from TIP to manual are sold over here they also contain (IIRC) a lower hose, as the TIP one rubs on the clutch cylinder.

Here is a picture of my standard hoses from a manual.

I was after some blue hoses a while ago and what I did was cut down 2 VN Commodore hoses. Worked treat.
