I guess I don't really like the V35 look - I've seen one nice one though, it was white and I can't remember what it had done but it looked so classy, subtle but so stylish. Only had a couple of exterior mods (don't think it had a kit) just lowered etc.
And sorry Delvance about not replying in the other thread abt the polishing thing, I can't really afford it at the moment anyway. I'll just get my whole door repainted at some point.

Sub,
No worries man, all good
Lol you might've saw my V35... mine's pearlescent white with the factory option front lip and rear guards along with sunroof and privacy glass + front tints. They sit quite low from factory actually. I scrape on some bumps etc and it's factory height atm blah...makes me hesistant to go coilovers..

Lol yeah serious...and the 350z sits a little bit lower even (about 1/2 inch or so meaning about 12mm/1.2cm) so if you do get a 350z, make sure you check your clearance before installing coilovers.
In fact, a much better alternative for street use would be standard springs, but upgrade the shocks to either KYB/Koni/Bilstein and get a set of front + rear sway bars (something real stiff but adjustable like Cucso)... that way you keep your clearance but the shocks will perform much better giving better grip and more vertical load resistance along with the sway bars preventing body roll. The factory 350gt(coupe)/350z springs are actually already quite harsh and quite sports oriented.
Sorry i don't have good pics of my car
i'm still waiting for my mate to finish his build so we cruise somewhere good for photos so i've only got these ones..

Definitely fun car to drive, just make sure vdc/tcs is switched off
though mine's kinda scary as i've got bridgestone semi slicks on there and they produce too much grip for the stock sussy to handle, making the transition from grip to arse out REALLY quick. Looking at swaybars atm to correct this and make it more smooth..
GL on the 350z if you do get one, a nice site is www.350z-tech.com There is an Australia section and members there sell the Z's for around 30k to 35k generally with a few decent mods too. They have come down in price recently..

Thanks for the info man, appreciate it.
Those 2 pics look nice man, I can't remember if this was the same car I saw but all I remember is only ever seeing one white one.
Your car looks nice, maybe it's the white that appeals to me but it looks a shietload better than all the other v35s!
Yea I've been looking around on the 350z forums. I've actually been heavily looking into satin/matte black paint. I've got a tonne of pics of diff cars on my work comp (that's where I browse the net the most lol).
Some guy has a matte black R35 and it's seriously the hottest thing I've ever seen. He didn't actually get a paintjob, he got some of that stuff where you stick it onto your car and looks like it's been resprayed. I'll put up pics tomorrow.

I think they're not allowed to own one because there is a power to weight ratio in Vic...maybe same as NSW ? Anyways, pretty sure the 350GT exceeds the power to weight ratio.manofwood wrote:they are only V6 naturally aspirated, why wouldn't you be able to own one? 350GT's look way better than Z's, but i'd rather a tidy 240Z 2 seater, love the classics
For anyone looking to buy a V35, i would recommend looking up 350Z checkpoint/issues and do the same for the V35 (if it's the 350GT/350GT-8) as they share a lot of sussy components, same engine and driveline and same chassis.
Oh, and make sure you find the one with the options you want on it! There are a myriad of options available on the V35's and two different trim specs. Just hang in there till the right one is available.

I got mine at Version One Auto Imports at botany..same place i got my FTO from. Prices there are usually decent and the owner isn't too bad to deal with. I did have an issue with him on my 350GT when my ABS was playing up and he refused to help as i had it flushed and filled with dot 4 liquid (at a qualified reputable performance workshop mind you).dB wrote:lol
Delvance did you get your through an importer, if so which 1.
been looking at car sales, but i want black. and there isnt that many black 1's with the trim i want.
Black in the 350GT is a very rare colour.. and actually very good looking. A month ago, i was out with my missus and she saw a black one then said it looked better than mine lol.. something about suiting the lines. I think i've only ever seen two black ones on the road.. mostly silver.
If you're after a black with brembos, leather+suede and manual transmission.. you might be waiting for awhile

Best bet would be to goto s.kylinesaustralia.com and contacting one of the specialist importers there such as ironchef etc
Edit - out of curiousity, what exact spec were you after ? I was lucky with mine in that it had all the options i want...pearl white paint, bremobos, manual, sunroof, tv, suede+leather, front lip and splash guards and i forget the rest lol.

o0o nice..dB wrote:black with brembos, leather+suede
as for transmission, ive been hearing some good things about the 8sp cvt, but, i think that came out in 05...
thanks for the tips
CVT was only available on the sedan shape, the coupes only have either 6spd getrag or 5spd auto.
CVT cool, but big big big trouble if it stuffs up..absolutely no support for it in Aus atm. Nissan Aus cars with CVTs have a different unit.

lol no, just cos it's turbo doesn't mean its faster, it's 6.x, 350 is 5.4 stockftofionaaa wrote:hey, yeah it is the power to weight ratio which is stupid because i can drive a 200sx ? but not a V35 which is sh*t but i wouldn't reckon if your on your p's you wouldn't get court i hope..... i know the V35 has the same engine as the 350z but isn't the 200sx more faster turbo? or no? loll
