Hazard lights come on when I indicate..

Post by sneh »

Car was going fine one day, then the next it was totally dead (battery).
I brought a new battery since the old one was old, and found I had to replace the alternator fuse too - then the car seemed to work fine for the day.
Didn't drive it for 3-4 days, then went to start it and it was dead again.

Today I just put in the (recharged) battery, and it started fine. Waited a few hours, then took it for another drive but this time when I indicate both sides come on like hazard lights..

It's probably worth mentioning my windows stopped automatically going up when I turn the alarm on, and the doors stopped automatically locking when the car is on - about a week before this all started.

Help please! (Are these problems all related?)

Sounds like your alarm is having a barry when the battery dies. Can you key turn it off or something?

Then I'd have the multimetre out, checking for voltage drains from the battery outwards when the car is off.
