Illuminated kick panels......help

Post by xj265 »

Since I have had the car they have never worked, when i asked the previous owner about them he stated that they did work a while back but have not worked for quite some time now.
Why might they not be working? and is it worth trying to fix them?

Well first check to see if you have power to them with multimeter or test light.

Where can you check because the kick panels are glued down and don't really want to break them.

Actually I would also like to know if anyone has had experience fixing these. My passenger side works fine. My driver side is dead. Does anyone know where to source the part that lights up? Looks like green transparent plastic:(

Actually, I doubt thats the problem. Id be checking the wires to make sure there is power getting through to the lights. Im willing to bet there isnt any getting through (broken wire, bad ground or something like that.
But yeah, ive been looking for them but no one sells them T.T
