FTO Rattles

Post by ft04me »

Ok guys..im trying to get the major rattles off my FTO while im driving so its more confortable to the ear!! lolz

i've recently bought those sound deadning matts from JB Hifi to put in my boot and WOW it made a HUGE diferrence..

so now i was wondering how do i get rid of the rattles from my doors... everytime i hit a bump or close the door i'd hear something shaking or rattling... can someone direct me to where they could be or what.. i i know my subs dont rattle them just bumps and closing the door..

i think it might be like my car as well with the doors

i guessing my problem is the power window rack? or something like that ... mine kinda makes a rattle noise when i go over bumps when the window is all the way down but if its halfway down i dont hear anything

Should be the window guides. Mine rattles like mad when I am driving. Pretty cheap to get...about 25 bucks for it

thats weird, i dont get much rattle at all. almost nothing, but i guess it comes down to luck of the draw. I have heard of that foam crap that ppl use to deaden their panels. Search the forums for sound deadening guides.

Nup, it will definitely be the window guides. They are metal with a plastic insert and wear over time. Get one for each door and the rattle will go away. There is even a guide to show you how to replace them from memory
