6A12 Non-Mivec Engine (GR)

Post by Nacho »

Just seeing if anyone has a non-mivec engine lying around that they want to part with. Preferably low kms and must be legit so you have to be able to provide the Chassis number of where the engine came from as it will be used during Vehicle Identification Verification.

Yup,

got one. Has done 105k. Have the car that I lifted it out of still, so chassis number is not a problem. Came from Western Sydney. The car it came out of copped a big hit on the passenger side rear wheel, so whole front section was fine. Actually drove it down to the shed before starting to dismember it (back wheel dragged the whole way  )

Thanks for the offer Dwayne. I'll let you know if I'll take it soon. I'm still trying to figure out whether all I'm dealing with is a blown head gasket or a cracked cylinder head.

Thanks Ben I'll find out from the mechanic early in the new year whether I'm dealing with a cracked head or not. It's gonna be a real b*tch only finding out whether I'm still getting steam from the rear bank after I've put the head back on and engine back in the car.

How many kms has your engine done? Head gaskets still good you think?

It had done about 150k before she blew mate. Dunno about the condition, I'd have to pull the rear head off & run a straight edge over it. It never leaked coolant or anything like that thou.
