certainly can, and i'd recommend doing this anyway, since HID take a few secs to charge up, it's going to be useless unless you do a lot of night time driving in the middle of no where, and even then, i dont think it's warranted apart from blinding on coming traffic from a mile and half away.

yup sure is, as far as i know it goes up to 16000k - pretty much purple (probably goes up further, but i can't be assed looking into this at 4am lol), and i think 4000 is yellowish, 10000 or 8000 (i can't remember what i got lol) is white with a slight tint of blue.

There's potential for a thread about anything on FTO Australia

xenon is the gas they use in HIDs :)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenon good old wiki lol

and it's not so much that those colours are illegal, it's the fact that you have modified your headlights, and those colours are a dead give away

i think all HIDS are illegal unless the car came out with them from factory eg the new mazdas and toyotas. HID stands for high intensity discharge

bingo
bingo
and bingo

with that said, i've yet to hear of anyone getting done for the HID lights yet
i've got mine in, and i reckon as long as you are not asking for trouble with 12000K or 16000K, or being an idiot in general you should be right

You can get road legal HID high beams. Just all low beam HID's are illegal except when factory.
