im not a big fan of subs either, too much bass for me, i just bought really good 6x9s and it sounds like i have a really punchy sub (everybody assumes i have a sub unless i tell them i don't)

although if your listening to hip hop / rnb then you probably do need a sub

Agreed, subs are over kill for me, besides im trying to make my car faster so why add 15kgs+ for a bit of thump. My 7x10 give enough thump

actually i do like subs as i listen to hip hop  but they are in fto so no need to put them in this car besides it would prob shake the panels off  the 6x9's are ample for now

I got a sub in the back, usually keep it low and clean but i use it as dead weight as around 75% of the fto's weight is at the front so figured it would balance out a little (its a damn heavy sub, at least 30kg)

Its easy to take out anyway , for when i want to have a little fun :D

Don't get me wrong, you don't NEED subs if you have decent 6x9's, but i listen to hip-hop with relatively low frequency's, and even the best 6x9's have a hard time picking up anything below 40hz.

Plus, the way i see it, 20kg of weight in the back of the FTO should help ofset that engine and drivetrain in the front of it.

The FTO is really well balanced car anyway and being FF it doesnt need weighting down at all. It's all about a good suspension setup.

Im sorry but weighing a car down to make it "better", is just crazy, esecially when 70% of the sub's i have seen in the back of cars arent even screwed down  Personally i have never seen subs in a race car

rofl, somehow i don't think people buy fto's if they just want a race (track) car so for 99% of owners the weight wouldn't make a difference :P

doesn't matter, as long as i can pop it out at a track day in under than 30 seconds then its all good. Sub is Not a necessity but good to have :D

+1!!1!!eleventy

And to the 5kgs it adds, stop and put down that Big Mac you fat c*nts. Plus, my sub acts as a sensational 'vision block' to the bottle of nitrous tucked in behind it :D

Or...go and whack in 200+ kws worth of of 2.5 litre, twin turbo goodness  Bugger weight reduction on the road, my old man is 130kgs - so he went & bought a 300kw V8, you do the math
