UAS Intake Unifilter Fitting

I would just piss the Unifilter off, the oil gets annoying after a while, but it will sound nice.

How is oiling a filter annoying?

Its no more than another 15 minutes added to a service.

the shield it comes with is *~delightful!~*
i hatted cleaning it
had a good induction noise, I stil have it somewhere

Got the filter and box all in now, Just got to put in my cold air feed one of these days. I'll post up the pics when I get a chance.

Makes such a dramatic difference to the noise of my car, I love it

Hi all,

I've spent a little while trying to sort this out and I think I have it but before I turn the engine on, I have a couple of questions.

First of all, here are some photos:

Does that look right? The engine end seemed to fit without too much problem, however I'm having trouble with the filter end.

First of all, the tightening belt at the filter end is very close to the edge, however I don't seem to be able to get it on any better because of the curve in the tubing.

Second, I am having an issue getting the hole in the box to fit snuggly around the tubing. Is this just me?

I haven't used any of the attachments - either the metal circle thing which I assume is a mount to hold the filter in place, the two brackets or the middle sized grip ring. I'm also at a loss regards putting the cover on. Am I missing some screws???

If someone could take a quick look at the pics and let me know if it looks ok, it'd be much appreciated. Once I've had some positive feedback, I'll take the 20kms drive to the local Autobarn and get one of the guys to take a look and suggest some brackets that I could fit.

If you could let me know, it'd be much appreciated.

HI mate, sorry for the late reply. I hope you are happy and sorted now but if not I'll try and help.

With the hose clamp at the filter end it really needs to be lined up better with the edge of the pipe and the filter to avoid the filter pulling out. Just get it straight on to the filter and make sure the filter adapter (the plastic on the filter) stays in place as you do it up.

Not using the brackets or the middle sized hose clamp is okay. I found a trip to my local performance car joint got me a pod filter mount that was awesome. I just had to bend it to fit and hook it under the hose clamp at the filter end. It looks like this:

I wouldn't worry about the tubing fitting snuggly in the box. It isn't meant to be a tight fit.

As for the screws for the top there should be 3 hex head screws and washers. If you don't have these I'd give UAS a call and they will help you out.

yes you can I have 2 a green and a Red. I still have the box also, not in the best shape but its still usable.

In case anone is reading since the days of the pod I have gone a stock box with a big 3" hole cut into the side of the top half which has a direct feed from the front bar...therefore it also uses the stock feed from the wheel arch. On top I use a K&N pannel filter.

I get much better performance from this setup...pressure build up is great inside the box, no heat...perfect.
