yeah take it as it is.

But personally im still struggling to accept the fact i can get overtaken by every sh*t on the road while normal driving. Really have to step on the gas hard to get any decent pickup. Thats when the natural loud exhaust note comes in and everyone thought you want to start a traffic light battle or something.
But really, its just normal driving, changing gear at 3000rpm only.

Whaddya expect lol ?
End of the the day, it's n/a and 2L in capacity...you're never gonna push big power and for n/a to make power, you gotta increase the revs.. The FTO is a very fast car for 2L capacity, add in it's a early 90's engine that never got updated and it's amazingly fast. As a rule of thumb, any n/a engine making ~100hp or more per litre of displacement is highly tuned (whether factory or modded). Your 1 litre of displacement should also produce ~100nm of torque if the engine was designed for speed.

Here's a little experience i had when i used to own my fto...

Driving to uni, following a commodore SV6. With the mods i had on my fto, straight line it would've been lineball with an SV6, perhaps a bit quicker if i got a perfect launch so basically two same speed cars. The SV6 notices i'm up it in the first roundabout so come the 2nd one he powers on after apex. I try to chase but fail miserably...

Why did i fall behind even though 0-100 was the same for both cars roughly... torque/powerband of the engines. The SV6 has loads more torque from idle up compared to FTO.

Keep the FTO on boil, it is surprisingly quick though i do agree it makes a lot of noise when you're doing that.

Oh, and with 40k...much nicer cars to buy than an evo lol. Well...to each their own.

 Personal preference i guess but i rememebr watching an episode of top gear (uk) where they road tested the evo 9 and concluded that it was one of the best bang for buck 4dr "saloons". I love evos what can i say.

Note: - i dont take everything top gear say as scientifically or even factually accurate.
