Parts no. and some qns.
Buying some parts in Singapore and hope u guys can help out in checking the parts no. if it is correct. Might be able to get it at a lower price over here.
1995 GPX
KYB excel g Shocks
Front left: 334154
Front Right: 334155
Rears: 341140
Gates Timing Belt: T987
Banjo Alternator belt: 6PK0940
Banjo air con belt: 6PK1080
Timing Belt Tensioner: (Brand and part no.) ?
Water pump : (Brand and part no.) ?
Any more parts for a timing belt changed?
During acceleration, the front tends to "lift up" quite a lot and the back "lift up" during normal breaking. The car also take awhile to "settle down" after driving thru pot holes or bumps. So i think the shocks are giving way right ?
I also have a E-manage Ultimate which i might put it in or sell. There should be no problem fitting it in right? And any recommended tuner in perth? Which harness would fit?
There is this soft tapping/knocking sounds after i press a button that change the air con flow.(not speed flow) I think the gear got worn off. Need some pointers to find the motor and fix it.
The air con also makes a whistling sounds when i increase the speed to like 4 bar and above but only happens when the air con is recycling the air. Which i think somewhere got choke and i need help to locate the source.
There is also a air con pipe missing from my air con unit. The pipe which sends air to the temperature sensor in the unit but i have no idea where the other end is? Can someone post a picture of the pipe connection and probably give me the pipe length as well.
The car also start erratically when the car is cold. somehow the car sounds like it's "choking" when starting but start normally after the engine is warmed up.
Looking to buy new tyres as well. Might buy Maxxis ma v1 or dunlop sp sport maxx. Considering to buy the tyres and rims packages from bobjane, 1.1k for a 17 inch rim and 235/40/17 ma v1 tyres. However, after reading the tyres bible, it state that bigger width have lesser contact area with the road. Wonder how true is that and need some feedbacks and advises.
Sorry for so much qns, hope you guys can give me some pointers/advises to fix it.
Thanks in advance.

i personally prefer them as well as i tried them on my swift sport in singapore. But i think they are quite expensive right? 200+ per tyre? And another factor to consider is because im using the stock rim now and i think the rim is 13 yrs old.. I have a feeling that they are not circular anymore hahah! When driving above 90km/hr, the road noise get really loud!
thanks admin!

ok you also need idler and cam/crank seals for timing change
yes shocks buggered
Emanage fit it man fit it!
maybe you have leaf stuck in air flow?
Stepper motor on way out maybe idle speed to low?
235 is too big go for the 215 40 and yes that will give you more contact on road and if you can afford it then go for good rubber, not that i have anything against maxxis as they are a good cheap alternative compared to others but the good ones are pricey for a reason

vipfto, do you have the brand and part no. for the idler ? Need to supply sufficient info to my friend to get it.
Just read the suspension thread by Bennoz and now im having a big headache about all those bushes and stuff! seems like a hefty job to fix it lol.
yea i wanna install the emanage ultimate but firstly i need to find a reputable tuner in Perth lolz.
Hmmmm, so where is this air flow place ?
oh no.... stepper motor..... really hope its not stepper motor.....
Hmmm, i wanna change the tyres and i might heed nikhan advise and choose toyo proxes. Sounds reasonable i guess.
Nikhan, i MIGHT be able to get the shocks for less than 200 i think. And where did u get your shocks for $300 ? the cheapest i seen is ard $400 without freight.
hahahah, you wan some hokkien mee ma? i tapao for you. ( might turn mouldy though)
thanks for the answer guys. Keep the info flowing! educate me

sorry dont have part numbers but it has been posted before just search for them and get seals most important!
bushes are super easy dont worry its just the control arms ones where you will need to get them pressed no big deal
just take stepper off and clean might keep it going for a while but as said not so bad yet dont panic
have heard toyo are ok tyres but for 180 a tyre spend an extra 20 per corner and get something better still
not sure on how well the toyo last though always thought they were too soft not really good on chipseal roads like michelens or contenentals

Hey, im also planning to get some Ultra Racing braces and CAI from singapore. Hopefully a set of new rims also. but have to work out the delivery.
For the timing belt service. I also did:
belt tensioners, waterpump, cam & crank seals, cam cover seals, rear seals, inlet manifold gaskets.
I got them from genuine mitsu parts here so they cost quite abit.
Dont be surprised when the mechanic told you that some other parts needs to be replaced as they might be leaking or deteoriating when the timing belt covers are removed. It will be better to change them at the same time to save a 2nd time service.
i got my KYB shocks for around $450 here. and they are quite a few kg. And you might need to replace the bumpstops as they might be bad. ANd yeah, your shocks are busted.
waterpump: SMB, part number: SMAST-0003 GWM-55A
I have loud tapping noise when selecting the aircon. search for a thread for this, someone here have solved the problem. But strangely, mine wasnt the same problem so its not solved.
haha, my car starts to take some effort to start up when cold....stepper motor dying as well?
I have new Maxxis MAV1 at the front. Excellent on dry, normal when wet. Best tyre for budget price. But i would try out the toyo next time as my rear yokohama R1 are running bald in a few months time.
Personally 215 should be enough for road. 235 are more for track. you get more grip, but you gain weight and prices.

ahhh... im just wondering if the spark plugs and lead might cause the "choking" when starting. As im going to get them changed as well.
Hmm. Autobahn quoted me $550 to change the timing belt and i provide parts. They also mention that the seals will only cost ard $5 or so. How true is that?
I read the suspension thread and saw someone have to use saw, drills etc to get the bushes off. Wonder if i should do it or not lol!
Dstocks, can you pm me the price for the tensioner and timing pulley? Also pm me the price to get a floor console. Thank you
I plan to ship all the goodies i buy in Singapore to perth. But will compare the prices including freight.
From memory i think u paid like 300~400 for all the seals right ? quite hefty for it.. again i will try to source for cheaper alternative!
I have yet to contact my supplier for the shocks but i might be able to get a set of 4 for less than $450. you have the part no. for the bump stops ?
Yea, i was the one that solved one of the tapping sound made by the air con. Now there is one more soft tapping sound coming out. Think i might be able to solve it but im in singapore now so gotta wait 2 more months!

550 for the labour only?
if you went to a decent mech incl parts should cost around the 800 to 1000 mark so sounds ok as long as they are doing everything else.
yes the seals are really cheap
change ya leads while there and plugs anyway then you know its sweet too and maybe pwrsteer and alt belt
do your own bushes you will just need to go to local workshop or someone that has a press
no need to saw or grind them out
as for the price dstocks had for the seals, i think you'll find that pretty much for a total timing kit
@ zuihoujueding nah sounds like your batt is almost buggered if it takes awhile to turn over
