Speedometer problems
hey i've gt a long running and expensive problem with my speedo, the needle would go crzy now and then and jus flick up to speeds like 120mph when i was doing 30, soemtimes the needle stays on zero, after checking my km converter chip it was pretty f*kd so i had that changed and still nothing, also depending on what mood the cars, some dash lights work and some dont, the buttons for the climate control were workin las nite but not couple days ago, any help would be brilliant as im tired of dodgy mechanics

Try and swap out the dash cluster (maybe if you ask another member nicely they might do a swap with you to test it, i will if you live in SEQ). If not try and get one from a wrecker cheap maybe dstocks.
Thats were i would start

mate its hard to say if thats the problem but it could be the problem. Pull the blue and brown clip off the backing plate and shove them in the cluster....if you can. Make sure they are in there good (ude tape if you have too) and go for a drive see if that fixes the prob.....

Ive got spare tip clusters if you end up needing one, but im thinking its probably something else. Havent heard of that being an issue before, but best way to check is remove the bolt and put everything back together and see if it still happens. You dont really need that bolt anyway.
