the reasons i'm looking at them are

weight
and cooler engine temp's which equal more power. (this will be very hard to prove on a dyno but a digital thermo placed in the engine bay will tell me eventually what sort of heat reduction i'm getting)

on the other questions... (won't have answers for these until after chinese new year holidays are finished in asia)

Stilll waiting on confirmation of what they are made of (i.e. 100% carbon or glass under).

OEM style catch is a must bonnet pins are defect on the spot as they tend to take bark off people if you hit them.

pictures will come as soon as we have one built, i imagine it will be a verbatim copy of the OEM to ensure crumple zones are there.


Incidentally i can get them from another supplier already but i'm working closely with a company to start developing products for the FTO so it's taking a bit of time to make sure everything is done correctly.

For $1,000 you could enhance your cars performance a lot more with other mods than with a lighter bonnet.

depends on the demand to make moulds costs a lot of money, i'd be happy to do one offs but the buyer would have to wear the cost of the would.

i will hopefully have pictures in the next few days. i have confirmed that they are 100% carbon and have the bonnet latch there already. (bonnet pins are optional).

Project F ones start at around 800 and go as high as 1400 + shipping which will be huge (say 400.00 to get it to you safely).

Guys there is also another style of bonnet with vents. I dont know where I saw it. I resembles the Celica type bonet with a small vent in the middle

I want the Kaze style for SURE ... evo style is too damn common, already seen FTO with it and a photo you guys can see ... doesn't really suit FTO ... KAZE style is more unique, come on guys vote for style ... don't wanna be one of those Lancer Evo wannabe ...

the supplier i spoke to needed some firm numbers and some financial commitment before he will go ahead... at the price we're looking at, it is a bit steep ($1200+) but since then we've found cheaper alternatives so we'll have to wait and see what Steve can do to cut us a deal...
