Front Left WHEEL SPEED SENSOR needed

Post by mmmyum »

anyone know where i can get one of these, as my GPX does not have TCL and ABS at the moment due to this...

have no luck at the wreckers so far...

Anyone also know how to take out the sensor from where it's bolted behind the brake rotor, as it doesn't come out after taking out the bolt

cheers

It's a magnet. Just pull VERY gently on the surround the bolt came out of, this is seperate from the hub. Might take a little wriggle to get moving.

Give it a clean with some electrical contact cleaner or at least a rag and put it back in. Don't overtighten the bolts when putting it back, they're right buggers to get out if you snap one. Oh and be VERY CAREFUL when putting the sensor back in, if you give the magnet tip a wack you could stuff the sensor.

hope that helps mate. I found mine to be full of crap when I cleaned mine about a year ago, braking performance is so much better now. Should really get around to doing the rears

I can get a new one for you if we can work out the part number in CAPS (if it ends up needing replacement).
