When you get your fulls it goes to full points, so you'll have 12 points to spare (correct me if I'm wrong here)cjam wrote:sh*t! i thought worst case scenario it would be 1 every 12 months or something but it doesnt matter too much cause ill get 5 more when i get my blacks in five monthsill survive on 1 point till then

Motor Vehicles Act 2010 (this is when ill be PM) Section 1 of this legislation will be - Owners of fto's get unlimited demerit points. Section 2 - no tax on fto part imports from overseas. And Section 3 - fto's wont depreciate in value, but will appreciate in value.
Pretty sweet plan aye

Yep, if you lose your license and get it back, you get full points again. Pretty sure it's the same deal with upgrading your license to fulls although the upgrading bit I'm not 100% about.KJ_bob wrote:section4- no police vehecle may pull over an fto at anytime![]()
Is that true about getting them all back when you loose your licenceafter the suspension of course

I think that depends... Lets say you get done for 45k & over ... Licence is suspended for 6 months, then when you get it back you are down 6 points... If you have less then 6 points for the fine, you loose your licence for the 6 month period + then have the licence suspended for how ever long it is that you get for having no demerit points.sublime19 wrote:Yep, if you lose your license and get it back, you get full points again. Usually it is a court case, so it is up to the Judge, and PP to decide what the punishment is ...

Hmm, in my scenario, I had 7 points on Green Ps, I lost all 7 in 1 go (15km over the limite on a public holiday)rock_it wrote:

Lost license for 3 months, got it back with full 7 points again, so I assumed it'd be the same always

finally today on the radio a transport minister/official spoke out against the unfair strict p plate demerit system claiming that it was unfair and ridiculuous. hopefully they do something about it.
section 5 should be....right of way always goes to the fto on the road whether it be roundabouts, traffic lights or t-sections

this will not only be for the P platers but for all drivers, they are talking about dropping the 3 points for the low range speeding not over 15ks down as it is 3 points for 15+ so if your hit for doing 12 over the limit you get 3 points off and the same for 25 over at this point under the curent lawskoolio1234 wrote:finally today on the radio a transport minister/official spoke out against the unfair strict p plate demerit system claiming that it was unfair and ridiculuous. hopefully they do something about it.

I think they should drop the points down and up the fines as money hits home more than lost points.

I read that too, there been a bit of talk about it in the paper.topao wrote:I got 1 Point left tooim tempted to lose my license for the 3 months just to get them all back... there was somthing in the SMH this week about how bad NSW Demerit Point System is
Apparently NRMA president Alan Evans is taking a reform package suggestions to the transport minister in the next 2 weeks. Includes changing the 3 points for under 15kms offence.
