Post by borntospeed »

Hi guys,

i'm not sure excatly what to search for, but out of curiosity, is it possible to check what your car was sold with, like options, HIDs, etc... when it was brand new in japan?

i emailed mitsu months ago with my question but never got a reply. boooo
i know you can use CAPS to find part numbers, is there a program or something that can be used to find out this type of information? i wanna know if my fto came with factory LSDs, HIDs, this sort of thing

Thanks Ben, now i know my car was built in the second week of feb 95, but what does option code C40 and interior code 02X mean?

Also, is it a mistake about the fuel consumption? it says 12l/100km for manual and 10.4l/100km for auto? shouldnt it be the other way around?

C40 could mean a number of things, like traction control, ABS etc. The interior code is to do with what type of trim & carpet colur is used etc. dstocks knows more about that stuff than I do.

Traditionally manuals do use less juice. A lot more effort goes into (and is wasted) running an auto box. Hence the manuals tend to have higher power outputs.

icic... so where can i translate the code to find out which options came in my car? i guess only dstocks would know right?

so is it right to say the fuel consumption numbers are in reverse, being 12l/100km for the auto and 10.4l/100km for the manual?

Yeah, dstocks should be able to help out with those codes.

Dunno bout the fuel consumption. Thats a factory figure & now that most of the cars are 10+ years old with 100,000 odd kms on them, those figures are pretty useless..
