Trying to get my FTO registered, but couldn't get past the safety check! Rear tyres are bald and need to be changed.
Rushed to Bob Jane for 2 tyres and im offered 3 choices. pirelli $600, Yokohama $560, Maxxis $320. Obviously, i chose the cheapest one as i have used Maxxis on my ex Mirage and they work great.
But i havent used this MAV1 series before. want to know if anyone of you uses it? how do you think?
they are good for a cheaper brand actually have a really good rep for wet weather braking and response not so wellknown in oz but theyhave been around for a while originally were destined for usa market only if thats a pair for the price theyare worth it

They were actually for the front, but i rotated them to the back. Thats why they were bald. the yokohama R1 which i had were pretty good, but i notice they wear abit faster than maxxis.
$320 for a pair of 205/16inch for my stock rims. I thought they were priced pretty good cos i used to buy 195/14inch for $98 each for my mirage. Then offer came and i got Pirelli P6000 for $125. But they were dead ugly!
I'd bit the bullet for some MA-Z1's if you can get them, got them on at the moment and am very happy with them for a cheap tyre. I'm sure I'll destroy them at their first track day though
