Id be guessing fuse. With the latch, have you had an accident or did it just cease working?

yeah either fuse or wiring. Check to see if you have power at the bulb holder.

As for boot not opening id say csble has snapped

I actually had a similar issue, my boot was fine, i can open & close it no problem but the bulb wasn't working, i checked all fuses & they were fine, until i went to Jaycar Electronics & they found the issue, it was the boot switch that was stuffed so i had to get a whole new boot latch or boot lock...not sure what you call it, but i got the part number of Mitsubishi & found an second hand one at a car junk place all the way in Ballarat Melbourne & cost $30. When i got the boot latch/lock replaced, the bulb was working fine =) yeah now i can see light..hehe =P

pretty sure ive got a latch lying around somewhere if that helps. The latch has the switch in it. You can change it over yourself. Just 2 bolts

bey bro, thanks at least now my car looks good like yours =) the panel shop is at 5/8 Brand Drive Thomastown, number: 94658111. The part number for the boot latch is: MR152421. Not sure if you need to call Mitsubishi because they asked for my VIN number first before i could get the part number, Mitsubishi's Heidelberg number: 94581222. By the way, if you want it brand new from mitsubishi, it cost now $110 bucks, so ask dstocks if he has a spare 1, his the man with the parts =) Here's some pics, hope this helps. I haven't seen May for a long time, me & my gf went out with her, her hubby & her son for dinner ages ago. We should go on a cruise =) take care bro
