is this the correct alternator for a 94 Manual GPX
part number MD317515

also out of interest what is the 4 pin? connector that plugs into it on the side?

The fourth pin has something to do with activating MIVEC.

I think some poeple have had issues with Auto electricians fitting 3 PIN GR alternators to GPX's and they get no MIVEC.

Sorry I can't help with the part number.

That part number is correct, but it has been superceeded. That was for a 75 amp Mivec alternator that was used from Jan 94 to March 95.

The newer model was an 85 amp unit (MD305461) for Mivec, which is what I would be using.

MD317514 is for the gr.......... Ben did this get superceeded with another?

Yeah, there's half a dozen superceeded units for the GR. Latest & greatest was a 100 amp - MD336781

Bumping this...I have a MD317515 MIVEC ALTERNATOR for FTO if anybody is looking for one.
In excellent working conditon...lets say $90 + postage?
If thats not reasonable...then let me know?

This is an 80amp alternator also...with 4 pins.
