being a tip, you won't be able to rev launch it as well as a manual because I think your tyres will be spinning even with your foot on the brake at more than 2700rpm... Best to get a higher stall for the auto but I don't see how that will make a world of difference to your accel. times without serious engine mods...
you could also start with free mods, like weight-saving measures to lighten the car... you'll be surprised how much weight you can strip from it that could cut 0.20s off your times...
what sort of tyres are you running? are they just normal street tyres or soft-compound semi-slick drag rubber?
I would like to mod my fto and make it fast enough that without any sort of rev launches i could still get good times. Then i wouldn't need to bother with the correct rev etc etc.
It would just depend on my reaction at the lights.
another good way to get better times without any mods is to go on a diet, have a piss and a sh*t before you get in the car. and also make sure your car isn't running on a full tank of petrol

launching at certain revs is not the only deciding factor when taking off... how much revs you hold, how quick/gentle you feed in the clutch and how soon you plant the throttle off the line also plays a significant factor as well.
and yes, this will also depend on what sort of clutch/mods you've got on your car...
