Not true, GPX belts & GR belts are different. The HJ galant is a non mivec 6A12.

GPX has 232 teeth, width is 30
GR has 226 teeth, width is 30

The tensioners however are the same. Why doesnt someone ring Dayco & ask if they can put the 232 tooth belt in the kit available as opposed to the 226 tooth GR belt... Then they can come up with a new kit part number & advertise it as a GPX kit.

You r right. timing belt for GPX and GR are different. therefore the belt from the kit dosent work. But everything else is the same.

damn, got to get another belt! :?

Just called autoone newtown. enquire on gates T987, but they only have Austral brand. Can anyone know if its anygood?
