1st gear not engaging

Post by Ferrus »

My 1st gear is not engaging even when my clutch is fully depressed. But the strange thing is after a while it decides 'ya, okay maybe i should work now tehee' and i can roughly force 1st gear in. And after that i have no problems changing gears when i am driving. Its just that if i leave the car overnite without driving do i have to repeat the same drama all over again. Any ideas what is going on?

Could be syncros, start with the easy stuff first thou, check the clutch slave cylinder isnt leaking & try bleeding it. Then I'd be looking at the cable linkage bracket ontop of the gearbox (under the battery tray) - if those are ok, then start saving $$$'s.
