Does anyone know about printing your own guages

Post by aftershock »

Ive been looking for some yellow guages to complete my dash, but to no avail,so my next option is to make my own.

Does anyone have any experience in this, i gather that i need to use some sort of electro luminecent paper and a good printer, maybe a laser jet.

Also, where i can get the template for the guages,i could always just scan mine and use my cad package to touch them up.

Has anyone tried to make their own before?????

your on the right track mate
back in CHCH there is a place above fast fit batteries on barbados and litchfield st corners
they can do dash prints i looked into it before getting the KMC dials
A mate of mine got them done on his legacy they looked good but i dont know how they looked at night :?: so illumnation may be the issue
but they can also put in any letters or any thing you want.....
but if you have the gear to do yourself then just try it as they are so simple to fit and i am guessing you wont need to wire any lights in with them so just give it a go ;) 8)

They look ok at night, i had to replace the standarb bulbs with blue ones so that the numbers were visible, otherwise the standard bulbs just highlighted the yellow part, but because the fto hasnt got the best even illumination there are a few darker spots.
