Rough running and smoky exhaust fuel smell

Let us know how you get on. How is his fuel economy. If it's running rich, I would imagine economy is down ?

Its not my car and i dont have time to investigate anymore I have told him to take into shop and not to drive anywear else as I'm sure its valve etc as previously mentioned so I cant comment on economy

Just checking in - did your mate have any joy sorting out his running issue ? Any diagnosis forthcoming from the shop or is he still grinning and bearing it ?

i will find out mate not in NZ anymore as recently moved to oz
