nah i'll do it in the morning... don't think they cops can recover the stuff anyway

gotta look out on the forums for any 'cheap' stuff

yeh i had an alarm, they just broke the lock on the door by drilling hole or something through the door handle, if u look inside the hole u can see inside the door...

the bonnet was opened when i fonud it
the alarm wire was cut....

looked like pros, took only what they needed.... cut only the alarm wire, not the other wires that were hanging around it... farrrk

sh*t man, sorry to hear what happen & this only happen 2 me not long ago 2, damit! Well cops can't do anything about it, but they might get some finger prints, & maybe (Big maybe) one day they can match the guy finger prints.

What kinda alarm had u got? & where did u park? So at least we know what/where to look out for.

you should upgrade your alarm and get a second siren. i have two sirens in my car the easy to get at one is there for them to smash as soon as they do that the second one goes off. This one (not telling where it is) is impossible to get at.

It makes it far easier for your insurance claim (if you do one) if you reported the break in to the police.

So i guess your alarm isn't battery back up then rite?

What i did to my other car is i hook one inside the car & one under the bonnet as usual, but they both battery backup, so if any wire been cut, they both go off, & trust me no one can stand the alarm when it goes off inside the car, it will blow anyone ear drums out. (Which makes it illegal, but no one will ever know unless they try to break the law at the first place)

With ultra sonic/microwave running at the same time, it will go off everytime they try to get in again. As i know some of them will wait until your alarm goes off, then come back for the "good"

If its battery backup alarm, it will go off no matter which wire they cut, there're some alarm even go off if it detect a voltage drop, but you have to check your battery every week, cause if the battery starting to die down, it will give off lots of faults alarm.

The bit that I was curious about was, actually the theory of how you would wire that up... I don't really want to know the specifics, maybe just the basic theory, so if you know it then i would love to know :P
Otherwise, don't worry! Aslong as i know that it is possible :P

And I will learn more about the specifics when i actually do it... learning is half the fun :)
