exhaust noise ?!?!?!

Was out driving tonight and all of a sudden my exhaust started sounding really loud and u could feel it vibrate under the car. It only does this between 2 and 3500 revs and more noticable in 4th gear when cruising. Its a triptronic to by the way ....

Anyone have any ideas what this could be ??

u sure u didnt rupture the pipes? i did it to mine 2 weeks ago and had to get the "unique" front pipes...it sounds and goes great now!

im getting it looked at on monday, the guy seems to think it just needs another bracket as the muffler is alittle loose. Hopefully i have blown a pipe....

How much were u up for anyway ??

When I used to have my Lancer, the exact same thing happend to me. My exhaust went extremely loud and I thought it was that. But in fact one of my ignition leads shat itself, and the car was running only on 3 cylinders, which made the exhaust extremely loud and vibrated the whole car.

I dont know if the same would happen to a FTO though.
