pros - sporty
- cheap (compared to other jap imports)
- small
- reliable
- fast for an n/a
cons - parts are expensive (although this site is very good to source from as a lot of ppl know good places)
- could cost a lot of repair if you get a dodgy one (something to look out for)
many other points...but these are just off the top of my head.

thanks for the quick reply harry - it wouldnt be a dodgy vehicle if my friend could import it and offer it to me at mates rate. plus i myself have purchased cars off him before and my other friends have all got cars from him too and all have been very very good cars with extra stuff like suspension, exhaust etc.

Got my 95 GR from Japan without having seen it. Bout the same no of k's on the clock as yours. Felt like a huge risk at the time, even though I got it checked out first.
3 1/2 years later still love her to bits, and the only thing that I've replaced out of neccesity is the stepper motor (5min job).

Sounds like you just want one because you were getting a good deal on it. To be honest, if you're having second thoughts and making this post knowing you'll get positive feedback since we own FTOs and hoping you'll feel better about buying an FTO, doesn't sound to me like you really want one.
Probably better if you didn't buy one. Don't rush it and buy a car just for the sake of having a sports car, wait till you find something you really like.

+1 on that... i rushed in on my fto coz it was going for a low price. dont get me wrong i love it to bits, but i really wanted a late model integra. But since being on red P's and not being able to lash out on performance mods... i opted for this nice rice bucket and im 70% happy with my choice.Sounds like you just want one because you were getting a good deal on it. if your in the market for a sporty car, theres allot of other cars in its price range that can give the goods aswell.

How much are they asking, its pretty hard to make a call without that info?

although it may sound like that, but i do like the car, i was looking at them a loong time ago. I would love to get something else but its just not viable and wouldnt be happening anytime soon. i guess im really just trying to suss out all the good and bad things from people that have experience with it already.Quote:

id love another turbo car but its just not an option for me at the moment (as im trying to settle down, get a house or investment property, but still want something sporty) and plus he mainly does nissan skylines, silvias etc (no 350gt yet), toyotas and only recently started with mitsus. id love to help out fellow members with crazy cheap prices but unfortunetly that price is for me and his circle of close friends only.

If you imported your own fto thats almost what it would cost... if the car didn't cost anythingnikhan wrote:I got my FTO and never regretted it. But at the end of the day its all up to you. what are you really lookin for in a car? 6500 for 70k's is a really good deal. If you done wan the car i have a fren who wants it' Lolz

As for fto’s... They go well, really well. But its not going to pull off the mark like a turbo wrx or skyline (if thats what your used too). If your looking for a car that isn't going to piss you off every time you need some juice and you want it to look sporty- and of course if you love the fto shape then... why not
As far as not wanting a turbo but still wanting a sports car... for 6500 (supposing you don't want to spend any more) you wont do much better. Not unless you like XR6's or commodores or something

Then again there’s always buying some kids done up lancer… but don’t be expecting that right pedal to do much

awww come on skylines kill man! would love a r34 gtr! well looks like youve narowed down to the fto so trying to convince you to go otherwise would be to no effect. But its not going to pull off the mark like a turbo wrx or Big Ugly Soap Box Racer (if thats what your used too).
pros: preety quick for what it is, the curves on the bonnet/rear end and front panels just looks like sex man. No room for rear passengers (no designated driver, con in my opinion). preety good fto support from the forums here.
cons: park it next to a WRX,S14/S15 or similar and say goodbye to your manhood.
