I work in customer/dealer service's for a financial company while I finish off my degree

Likes:
- Flexible with both hours and shifts
- Knowing what info to get approved for any loan's or credit cards I ever take
- My boss wanting to root me

(great benefits)
- Money's pretty good, as are the bonuses
- Getting discounts of loans, creditcards, medical insurance
- Shutting down bogans who have no chance in the world of being approved
Hates:
- Parking
- It's still work....
- Traffic can be a bitch
- Listening to people blab on about how they have a million dollars in assets when they get declined
- Not being able to help people who genuinley need credit when they get declined

I'm a Registered Nurse, currently nurse unit manager at the High Security Inpatient Service in sunny Wacol

Likes:
Plenty of weird stuff to talk about over beer

Recession-proof job
Has it's moments ie violence/aggression

Get to meet some very 'interesting' people
Free parking
Can see roos from my office window (never got that in England)

Dislikes:
Has it's moments ie violence/aggression aimed at me

Stuck behind a big fence all day
Having to work 3 jobs to pay for kids education

unpredictable hours
dickheads that stay with us
driving home on saturday nights ( dickhead doofdoof faces showing off their pulsars, excels with 20 inch cannons going at 20 km/h etc )

How'd you get that job... is it a weekend thing, cos your at uni ay?

pros:
people i work with
generally no one has anything bad to say about where i work
decent pay for pretty cruisy work
relatively useful industry knowledge
free RACQ membership
discounts on travel, hotels, insurance
part time

cons:
some people i work with
being chained to the 2.5m radius of my desk
wonderfully useless security at work
dmg while parked at work, of course no note, and thanks to the wonderfully useless security at work, can't review CCTV tapes.
and most of all: BLOODY CUSTOMERS - "i'll tell you how your claim is going: if people like you stop ringing up just to find out what's going on with the claim, your claim would be processed today or tomorrow, but at this rate... 2 to 4 work weeks it is"
cleaners that dont change the bin liners

it's only a stop gap measure until i figure out what i'm goign to do, or until i win the lotto.
