Do you like your Job?

Post by FtoSam »

Was just thinking about this topic...

By like, i mean, is it something you enjoy doing? or is it something you do only because you need to get paid...

List the things you like... then the things you dont like... and wether overall you love your job and would be happy doing it for a career (I.e. rest of your life)

Audio Visual & IT Support tech for Charles Sturt University, I like it as its a relaxed workplace, great fringe benefits (CSU only buys top spec models of current cars for hire at 13cents a km, great when your car is in the shop) and much better pay than most places for the same role. :D

Got the job by walkin in in a suit armed with a kick arse interview skillz and a lot of confidence...

Also, Another benefit of my line of work...

Being as we have to be very confident at work, a lot of the younger female customers love it... Have had plenty of offers from some very decent sorts in the past 12 months...

Taken up 2 of them so far....

God luck someone beating that for an unexpected perk of the job...

Oil&Gas rig company doing geology and sensors. Changed from on rig (1-month-on/1-month-off) to office mon-fri, and hate it.

Pros: Money's good

Cons: Money's not good enough for me to stay!

Looking at quitting in the next couple of months and travelling. Then maybe a move to Perth... will see :)

I make Sonar/Radar and missile guidance systems for the defense force

Pros.

1 The money is reasonable.
2 The company looks after the Employees.
3 The hours are flexible.
4 I don't have to wear a uniform
5 Its a relaxed work environment.
6 I am working with cutting edge technology.

Cons.
1 They rarely pay over time.
2 Have to put up with Engineers with no common sense and humor.
3 The amount of re work i have to go through because of the engineers f**king up.
