is the Eclipse just the american version of the FTO? it looks like it is. was thinking that eclipse parts might fit fto's, like maybe newer engines, wheels, body kits etc.
have a look at http://www.mitsubishicars.com/MMNA/jsp/ ... 8/index.do

I think up to the mid to late 90's the Eclipse was the 4G63T motor ... It came in AWD, and FWD ... The 1G eclipse body was not the best looking, but the 2g was pretty good ...
I heard that the 2000 Eclipse was the replacement FTO ... But yeah, different motor, and all that, so I think it was just a bit of b/s ... Ralliart were going to import the 2000 Eclipse, but didn't get much interest ... I was one of the people to sign up to buy if they released it, but alas, not enough interest ...
But the 2000 Eclipse body was a little funky ... I liked it cause it was different...

I doubt it ... Manufacturers think that there is no market for it ...xSlurpee wrote:Dam the shape of the car just kills it ... the stretched back half and where the side mirrors are located is ugly.
Will Australia ever see FTO's made again? or will there be something similar to the shapes of FTO with maybe a 4g63t??
