im not saying my FTO is going to be the same as other GR Auto FTO's. Mine is the way i described it, lemon it may be.
Ill give credit to the FTO where its due, i didnt mention handling cause its a great handler. It looks great!
Ok guys whats are some things to look at if the FTO is lacking speed?
Eg ive never beaten a > EF Falcon or a >VN commodore ever.

i love my FTO, it handles good, i love the exhuast note, its got style and i take very good care of it.ruchi wrote:payaya, I really don't understand why you own an FTO. I've read a number of your comments and a lot of them seem to be quite negative towards the FTO.
If you don't like it, why own it?
It really doesn't matter how fast or slow it is straight line, around corners, against your mates car, against your mums car, all that matters is that it is a special car to you. I don't give a rats arse what anyone else thinks about the car, I love it and that why I own it. So why do you own it, coz it certainly seems like you don't love it?
I critisise the speed becuase its a overated area in my FTO (Might be a lemon). Why do i still have it? Its reliable, and im not intrested in another car. Slow yes, but its not something that pisses me off to sell it, its just a flaw in MY fto.

from the comments I had read in other threads, it appeared you were making general comments about the FTO, now it appears you are making specific comments about your FTO.
I guess we won't be able to get an accurate representation of what your FTO is like until it is compared to other FTOs. Where do you live?

hmmmm i have had many hassles for having an fto but i dont mind cos i beat all my friends who own turbo cars (skyline gts-t, mr2, 200sx) on long distance drives. going 120-180k non stop for two hours in the fto on country roads is loads of fun.
btw payaya maybe is not the car thats a lemon, it takes some skill to drive an fto effectively, maybe when you come to one of the meets, one of the members would be kind enough to teach you to use the fto to its full potential, no offence intended.
all i can say is if an fto can lose a police car(commodore) on country roads, its gotta be underated. hehe er... wasnt my fto i'm talking about...

um i dont think i have a problem driving the auto. I use to stall up the auto till i blew it a while ago, so i never do tha anymore and just resort to stamping on the accellerator and shifting at 8k. I dont think it takes much of an effort to drive the auto wellFTOLeo wrote:hmmmm i have had many hassles for having an fto but i dont mind cos i beat all my friends who own turbo cars (skyline gts-t, mr2, 200sx) on long distance drives. going 120-180k non stop for two hours in the fto on country roads is loads of fun.

there is also some out there that are a bit tired then there are the moded ones and the highly modded ones, the same as with any model car. But the FTO looks the best and with a bit of work to the engine you can beat most cars on the road, especialy in our class, and some out of it. Do a lot of work and there wont be much that will even come close.
We all drive the FTO because it looks so good
