My GPvR is dodgy ...

Okay its an early 97 face-lift gpvr and of course ALL gpvr / 97 onwards (or facelifted) models have 5spd tip

mines got 4 ... and i dont think its the dials too

any clue on whats up with this? someone changed the gearbox perhaps?? also which is better? 4spd or 5spd

Could be last of pre facelift models engine and trans with facelift kit added and personal preference on 4 or 5 tip
look at chassis code and see if you can get date of manufacture or type code into dstocks site (complete fto) link is to the left and should tell you

well i ahve been wanting a 5spd for awhile now but in some comments made by ppl and little bit of research it seems the 5 spd may be a little more problemaitic, however this is uncomfirmed

oh i've checked my vin # and its a week 1 march 5spd tip GPvR
but no big deal ... even when i feel the need to drive in tip, i never use 4th gear anyway ... but why is mine a 4speed is the question

In that case most likely old gear box sh*t itself and sombody changed it to 4spd maybe that was all they could find hope the they changed dash cluster to suit...... does it have 4 or 5 gears on dash?

its got 4spd on the dash, it drives on 4th when im above 50kms in auto
