What is the go?
I started looking at FTO's a week before Easter and there were 48 for sale at that time on carsales.com.au and just recently there has been an influx it is now 65 and so I ask what is the go?

There is no real answer to my stupid question...
I am currently looking to buy an FTO and the more I look and the greater my search becomes it gets harder and harder for me to actually pick one that I like or is nice or is great for the price. My brain its going to explode because there are more and more of them just popping up I think I need a hand in choosing a good one.
Can anyone take a look at some of the cars out there and tell me what you would by and why. I would really like to have some more information in my head to make the pick easier so who better to ask than the FOT experts, you guys/girls.
Not sure if I am making any sense yet, might need to try when I am not toaly exausted.

If I was to buy my FTO all over again I would be looking for:
A Facelift model (round fog lights and nice front bar) or a good bot kits (DC/Bozz or similar or the VS is u like that style)
Nice rims already...although i like dmy rims and still do!
Paint job...make sure its really good.
Aftermarket Exhaust system (hi flow cat / muffler and a nice tip)
Low Kms...I bit dodgy anyway...clusters are easily bought on ebay...I nearly got one myself. So get a compression test and the gearbox checked (tip or manual but esp. for a tip)
Aftermarket suspension. the cars are old now...if some1 hasn't replaced the shockers your prob. gonna have to yousefl and they are not cheap. Plus u might get lucky and get some damp. adjust. ones.
Colors is all about preference but Black/Silver and White are good in my opinion. However I really like all the colors - that includes Tarkus' color!
Aftermarket CD/Amp setup...fitted well to save u some bucks later on.
This one is a well known FTO..

dont forget the basics like get a revs check to see if its stole or any money owing on the vechile make sure if your buying a mivec it is actually a mivec, and check if your going to the persons house to buy the car, check for patches of oil on the ground, also check if the cars been in an accident by opening up the bonnet and see if anythings been bent in the engine bay especially the radiator support panel
