Speedo Problem

Post by Tippin »

ok i just put in KMC dials and all the guages work pretty well except for my speedo.

The problem is that the needle wont move up until i get to about 60 kph and then it will just shoot up, i dont think that voltage is the problem caus it happens at day time as well with no lights.

Im guessing its probably something to do with the wiring, anyway any insight would be much appreciated thanx :)

Either that, or the sticker used to block the light is sticking to the needle shaft.
LED ALL the things.

Don't take the needle off your speedo... it will throw out all your speed readings.. & its a pain in the ass to get them exactly right again.

You just need to lift it up a tiny bit, like a millimetre or two.. just be very careful that you don't take it off completely

if the needle is fine i.e. you didn't push down too hard on it when you were installing the dials (you would have noticed if you did)

Then it is most likely as Az said the dials have moved.. check that they are pushed up against the needles restricting their movement .. get a hot glue gun ($3 from crazy clarks) and glue em down .. best option cause you can lft off the glue & try agan f you stuff up..
