Crack in the windscreen
Driving home on the M4 last night some rock or pebbel flew at my windscreen and left a small crack about 15mm in length. Do I need to replace the whole thing?

You may be able to get it repaired. If they can repair it, itll probably set you back about $70. Get it looked into quickly though or the crack will grow due to heat and cold.

Nah bud its not like nz a lot of insurance companies dont have that.vipfto wrote:+1^^ My advice is replace though surely your insurance has free windscreen replacement?
I agree with dstocks and vipfto. Get it fixed or it will get worse, Novus do repairs and come out to your car, however i have no idea on how good they are or how expensive.
But as dwayne says should be around the $70 mark

Check out your local BIG W / KMART or similar .. you should be able to find a windscreen chip repair kit ..
It's got a syringe with a suction cup over the end .. you suction it over the crack & squirt in the glue .. good temp fix if you can't afford to replace your whole windscreen right now.. I'm pretty sure that it's the same stuff that the mobile repairers would use
(might be about $20 .. not sure though)

Bugger,
If you don't have time to go to Kmart .. get it delivered to your door
I was wrong about the price ..$40 is the going rate.. but better than $100 & it claims to fill the crack well enough that you barely notice it..

here's the website of the mob that makes it ..
