I'm wondering if what I've noticed with my car is consistent with other FTO owners.
When you have been driving around for a while, does the temperature inside the car start to get warmer, like you have the heater on (not that hot, but warm?). It seems like the engine temp is being blown inside the car, even if I change the airflow direction the hot air seems to be coming in (even on a cool night)... and it's very noticeable too when you get out of the car, you feel the hot air from the bottom of the car (I know the FTO may be low to the ground so the hot air may not be ventilated as much). But it's hotter ioni comparison to some of the car I ride on (300zx, skyline).
i notice inside gets hotter only when i dont have the AC on... and definitely coming from where my feet are... when AC's on i dont notice it at all...
outside, could just be the hot air from the engine being blown by the fans.. happens to my bro's commodore too...

Is this normal?? or do I need to check something?
thanks.
Well I driven few different FTO (apart from mine), & I can feel the hot air coming out of them.
I had a 300zxTT & skyline (gtst) before as well, & they both does this "hot air" as i come out, so i guess its normal.

a lot of heat radiates from the dash, thanks to its black colour and the openess of the windscreen. On a hot day, some parts of the dash can be too hot to touch, especially the rubber centre pod. Dashmat could help there.
same here, inside the car is always warmer then the air outside (well at least it's great during Winter )
this is espeacially true if you parked in a cool place (shopping centre carpark) after returning to your car, you would think it had the heater on while you were away.

I got them tinted not long ago, and it made a huge difference, but on a hot / sunny day, the black dash and rubber centre pod still heat up so much, as you can't tint the windscreen.
yeah my car is tinted, but i just use those sun/heat reflecting sheild for the windscreen & it seem to be fine.

my car windows aren't tinted but i have this habit of not sitting in the car when it's hot inside... i tend to turn up the aircon to the max and let the interior cool down before i get in.
i just hate the fact that there's warm air blowing from below the foot area... and it gets pretty warm even on a cool night...
also, careful about extreme heat to cold... my friend had his car parked on the side street... it was a pretty hot day (not a heat wave) typical summer's day 30-35 deg... probably parked under the sun for a couple of hours and the automatic sprinkler from the persons house went on...
it wet the windshield and **CRACK** ....
now that summer is over... let this be a lesson for next summer
i'm running a temp gauge from my intake at the moment (just monitoring intake temperatures during different types of driving). it also has a temp reading for the area around the gauge (inside the cabin). Once the car is at operating temperature the inside of the cabin goes up about 0.1c every minute or two (depending on how hot the day is).
windows open it still goes up but stablises around 3-5c above ambient temperature.
