HAve a tip myself and I highly doubt I could beat a DC2R down the strip. And I dont have large shiny wheels or an e x p e n s i v e sound system. VTi-Rs are ok. But a mildy tuned DC2R, whoah mamma!

Hmmm ... Tiptronic GPvR with huge heavy rims, plus a heavy stereo ...
I would rather take a GPX with a c/f hood, moderate rims, and no stereo down the strip ... I can t-t-t-t tell you what my money would be on ....
The power loss that was seen between a GPX manual, and GPX tip was pretty big ... But that is just Dyno, which does not take weight, or driver skill into the equation. So I could imagine the difference would be as noticable between a GPvR vs GPX ...

rock_it - you make an important point:
while olliezzzzz fully sik GPvR Aero may be lighter than a standard GPX, we have not taken into account driver skill or the extra weight added by his big mouth.
after due deliberation and consideration, I'd say not only would it come nowhere close to a GPX / Type R / VTiR down the strip, but with those heavy chrome wheels and unless he's hiding a t-t-t-turbo under the hood, he'd be lucky to match my girlfriend's 1.6 Golf.[/b]

I remember some videos of Best motoring on youtube that i had seen a few months back. They were doing drag tests on mid spec jap sports and the DC2r trounced pretty mcuh everything. ran a 14.7. But then again this is dori dori driving and hes an absolute beast! So skill is a large /huge factor.
So going by this, a stockish vR with chromes, stereo, cannon muffler hmmmm
.
I would be happy to see mine get into the low 14's, and I 've spent my hard earned on p e r f o r m a n c e mods.

Lol guys .. I haven'ttt laughed t-t-this hard in a while

Still, you've got to hand it to Ollie that he is still sticking around .. a lot of people would probably have taken their shoelaces out by now and ... well ..
But anyways... seems like the Aero's don't have as many of the goodies you normally get in an FTO .. I still much prefer my GPX ..

Geez, this guy cops it a fair bit
Then again he know's nothing about his own car, claimed his version of fto is better than everyone's, snapped engine mounts on it just by driving his tip hard and tried to rip off someone elses turbo convert work as his own. I got flamed a while back for stupidly bragging about a race but god damn

cmon guys... give him a break... we were all young once...
He's just a little over excited...
Ollie: Just hope you understand why these guys are a bit cranky... Some pretty silly stuff trying to pull stuff like you have...
Your car is not the best... my car is not the best.. Nobody should care about who's is the best... as long as you love YOUR car (which we all know you do) then thats all that matters...
Some people hate my rims... I get RWD owners constantly giving me sh*t for FWD turbo...
Im glad to see you can let it slide off your shoulders...
I think we should all just ease up...
Ollie, settle down... Quick exersize... Try not to makle a post about YOUR car for 2 weeks or something... get into the community, little less bragging....
And back to the wheels, Guys if someone came up to you and said your wheels were gross, etc, do you think you should change them just to please THEM?
Come on...
Now lets ALL stop being tool squeezers and try to behave like adults...
Agreed?

CHRISTIANITY: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Interesting, all this time there was another aero! Funny how no one still has any conclusive evidence for differences to normal vR or vR aero.
And regarding the gpx = vtir kind of thing. I do agree. When the gpx came out, i'm pretty sure dc2r wasn't out. When dc2r came out, mitsu's answer was a gpvr but it wasn't enough to trounce the king hitting dc2r though it was close-ish as evidenced by the dc2r getting slightly faster 1/4 mile times, and being able to lap tsukuba in almost a second quicker than a vR. The dc2r also had awesome driving feel/dynamics and was much more fun than anything out at the time fwd wise.
I've had a run against a dc2r in my old manny fto gpx though, let's just say he wasn't happy but i was running 116kw atw and had no boot nor backseats (-30kg, i weighed them all).

Ollie's is the superdooper limited aero that has the invisible turbo and worked engine though.
That thing would smoke most things out there but the problem is it only exists in his imagination or on the back of his toilet door in the instance where someone else builds it and he will claim it and pin it up !!!
That's why my car and its mods aren't posted up on here.

You owe everyone an apology for your antics and bullshit, AND you need to give it a rest for a little while and take a back-seat - I'm sick of trying to decipher your horribly spelt / worded posts.
Sorry Everyone!

Maybe this thread will get locked before Oliver sometime soon realises his FTO is actually a Ferrari
