It's where the blue arrow is. It 's a little black clip with a single wire hanging off it. just push it back in and it should be fine.

Oil temp??? Both of those senders are related to the water temp.

Ben is saying that if your engine temp gauge is not working that means that it has something to do with water not oil. eg you engine reads water temp not oil temp so why would you need a oil temp gauge (correct me if im wrong ben).

Yeah there are 2 sensors for engine temp - both plumb straight into water galleries. The one with the blue arrow is the sender unit for the gauge, the red arrow one is a 2 wire connection direct to the ECU - it controls things like thermo fans & even changes a/f ratios depending on the water temp. It can also be the cause of running rich / high emissions when the sender begins to fail.... just for anyones info!

Is there a little mechanical device like a motor that controls the gauge? Could this be broken? I looked all over the blue arrow area and nothing seems to be disconnected :x

Ic ould be a break in wire somewhere, or sender failure may need replacing

the wire could be loose. Put it out n plug it back in. You can test the guage on the dash by grounding the sensor. This should shoot the temperature to the red.

Took it to a mechanic and he laughed at me when I told him where I was looking. Apparantly on the wrong side of the engine.
