Nah, just like all technology it wont be released for another.... 10 maybe 15 years when its obsolete in Japan. Then it'll be a concept car that japan "just built"

On a more serious note, THE CAR LOOKS AWSOME!!
they could not have done the front and sides better, although the back is a bit flat.. but still certainly an eye opener.

probably ruining all the fun here, but it would have to *heavily* modified to comply with any regulations or laws at all...for example the whole back end would restrict rear vision so much that i wouldnt be surprised if it wouldnt pass ADRs...also things like wing mirrors and number plates would need to be fitted, which would break up the very sleek styling...

its great as far as an attention grabbing concept car, however at most it would be like the Monaro 427 - something to provoke interest in the company that would not ever make production.

must admit, after all that ranting though, that it *does* look kinda cool

, in a Toyota kind of way (meaning: designed by a commitee)...looks like bits of differant exotic cars cobbled together with a Toyota badge on it.

i certainly wouldnt refuse one though

looking at it again, thats a bloody odd way to do the rear suspension...i can't even imagine what purpose having springs and shocks around the level of the parcel shelf and linked by bloody long rods is...anyone even got a clue how that would work?

yeah i thought that too...
not sure what the purpose would be other than for looks.... if you saw a car driving and you sould see the suspention springing in the back window, im sure you'd look

There's not enough chassis lower down to attach it there. But after all this is just a concept car and designed for maximum impact, so that is also part of it.

Did you notice that the exhaust exits the rear of the engine but is then piped around in front, with the outlet just in front of the rear wheels?

u can tell that the piping goes down around the front of the car??!?

i think ruchi means that the exhaust pipes run forwards...the engine is a mid/rear mount, and the exhaust outlets are those twin rectangular holes just forward of the rear wheel arch...its just against conventional practice to have the exhaust pipes running *forward*....

meh...I wonder how they've integrated the electric motors? Some setups have them running at low speeds and lighter pedal pressures, and other leave them running all the time, and contributing to the power at the flywheel...

still, it is just a concept, i doubt it'd ever make it into production...

then again, it's not like Toyota don't have the funds now that they're #2 in the world....

I suppose this must be some sort of pushrod suspension as seen on purpose-built track racers... i'd imagine it'd be a bloody hard ride LoL
